The Technical University of Gabrovo maintains active contacts with 19 higher education institutions from 13 countries. On the basis of a confirmed Institutional Contract between the European Commission and the University, work on the Erasmus Programme is carried out, the main activities being student and staff mobility and ECTS implementation. The University is also actively involved in work on other European programmes, such as Grudtvig, Leonardo da Vinci, the Framework Programmes, COPERNICUS, CEEPUS, SCOPES and TEMPUS.

The University organizes student and teaching staff mobility under the Socrates / Erasmus Programme in more than 30 European universities.
