Great Wall Voleex C20 EV presented by Great Wall Motors and Litex Motors
On the fifth of November 2010, Great Wall Motors presented its brand new Haval M3-EV electric and rechargeable Voleex V80 in Shenzhen, China. This was the debut for electric cars of Great Wall Motors, and the interesting for Bulgarian customers was the chance to see the Voleex C20 EV at the Sofia Motor Show 2011
Litex Motors is an official partner of the Great Wall for the Bulgarian market and together with the Chinese corporation began construction of a car plant near Lovech in 2009. The plant is already running at full speed with a capacity of 50,000 cars in two shifts and there is an option for three shifts with capacity of 70.000. The creative Director of the company said that there is possibility to produce electric vehicles in Lovech but there is still no information, if it will be Voleex C20 EV or other model. The Economy Minister Traikov also announced that from the next spring (2012) in the plant of Litex Motors and Great Wall Motors will be assembled electric cars.

What is currently known about Voleex C20 EV is that it is based on standard C20R sizes - 4058/1727/1604 mm. It is powered by 24 kW (32 hp) electric motor, which provides maximum torque of 150 Nm. The battery is lithium ion, with a capacity of 19.2 kWh, 320V. C20 EV has a top speed of 130 km/h and one battery charge will be enough for the distance that became standard these days of 160 km. Price information is missing yet, although other models of Great Wall in Bulgaria are sold on definitely competitive prices. Probably C20 EV will be available in 2012.With plans of many other automakers to debut EVs in 2012, next summer may be much more interesting, at least in terms of mobility.
